Original Artist: Original Artist: Leon Francois Comerre 1850 - 1916 was a French academic painter of symbolism. Comerre studied art in Lille and at the École des Beaux -Arts in Paris and dealt with portraiture, portraits of Odalisque as well as oriental, mythological and historical scenes that are stylistically as thematic oriented to a glorified symbolism and the Pre-Raphaelites.
